Week 5
Cultural Day and Meet the teacher. Mix and Mingle
Tuesday 6 March from 4pm-6pm

During inquiry time, students are learning about their own cultures and cultural diversity.  We would like to celebrate all the cultures that we have at school by combining an informal meet the teacher event with a cultural celebration.  More details about this will be posted in future newsletters.  Meanwhile, do you know of any cultural groups that would like to showcase their talents in a 5 minute slot on stage?  Any Irish dancers? Any Chinese performing troupes? Any Indian dancers? Any musicians? Someone who could play the bagpipes?  Please let Mrs Stafford-Bush know.

School Policy Consultation : Home Learning
We are reviewing our home learning policy. We would appreciate your views on this policy.

The policy states :
"The amount of homework given will vary depending on the age of the student. Any homework is done to reinforce what has been taught in the classroom. As parents, you may like to help with homework by encouraging or showing an interest in your child’s school activities. Teachers send home a "homework brief" at the start of the year to assist parents in ways to help their children. Please let the teacher know if homework is too hard, causing stress or cannot be managed at this time."
