Message from Kylie - Calf Club Coordinator

2 sleeps to go! I’m not sure what it is like in your house, but I have some very tired but very excited children.

I thought I would give a quick overview of how things will go over the next few days:

Note: Projects should already be at school.

The Gardens should be brought to school on FRIDAY morning: Senior School to the Hall Foyer, Kotuitui to deck outside Room 1-3, Yr 3/4 on deck outside Room 11-12, Junior School to deck outside Room 10 where they will be judged on Friday afternoon.

Thursday

The Calf Club programme will come home with your eldest child. This will have a map and timetable of where and when things are located.

Pre-sale raffle tickets are available in the school hall at 2.45pm until 3.15pm

Remember you can still pre order your vege box at the office. $20, $30 or $50 options. So much easier than trying to get through the crowds at the Produce Stall tent.

Friday

All HANDS ON DECK. Today is huge and it can't be done without helpers. Setting up Calf Club takes most of the day. We start from 8am. So if you are free for the day or even just for an hour or 2, please pop into school and find a job from the big list. Remember many hands make light work.

Pre-sale raffle tickets are available in the school hall at 8.45am until 9.15am and again at 2.45pm until 3.15pm.

If you have pre ordered a Vege box you can pick it up after 2.50pm until 4.30pm or collect on Saturday.

Saturday

Calf Club Day is an official school day and all students are expected to attend.  Children do not have to wear school uniform.  It can’t be cancelled or postponed - so if it is wet please ensure your children wear suitable warm clothing (raincoats and gumboots etc).  We have a ‘day in lieu’ for Calf Club Day on Tuesday 29 October.

EFTPOS will be available on Saturday - from the Information Centre [Rm 13] (at the side window where the children collected their numbers from) - This service is wonderful for those people who wish to get out cash to spend.

Please be at school by 8am. Children that are competing with an animal need to collect their number and have their photo taken by Emma Miller.

Judging will start at 8.45am this year.

Don’t worry hot coffee and pastries will be available from 7.30am!

Compulsory cake/baking to the Cake Stall located in the school library (next to the hall).

If you are donating baking to the café please drop off to the Café located in the hall.

If you are entering Bombay’s Best Baker please drop off your Lemon Meringue Pie or Afghan Biscuits (kids) to the judging area in the School Hall.
