Bombay School - Our Best Always - Ake Runga - Years 0 to 8

Last night 19/2/2020 was a well attended pool meeting.
We had Anita from Visitor Solutions talking us through the feasibility study and making a few final changes on the first draft. A motion has been carried  to proceed with the current basketball courts as our preferred pool site. We are now making relationships with funding bodies, with hopes to apply for grants to assist us in reaching our pool fundraising goal.
If anyone has any contacts to share in regards to getting donations etc, please let us know now. Thank you to Home and School for sharing a portion of money to our pool account as a contribution to the pool. Combined with our other fundraising efforts we now have $70,000 to use on getting started.
We will work closely with local council boards to apply for all required consents and start the ball rolling.
While you may not see progress, please know that this is really happening! For any questions, do get in touch.

24 July Meeting

A very exciting and progressive meeting!

Fabulous attendance and we were lucky enough to have Ron Dawbin & Rob Nichol join us from the Bombay Multi Sports complex, as well as Andy Baker and Angela Fulljames from the Auckland Council Local Board. They bought with them a wealth of knowledge and we feel like we now have very real progress happening. Especially satisfying, is having complete council support.

A few decisions have been made, we will be progressing with a feasibility study, that allows us to collaborate with the Bombay Sports Complex. Hearing more in depth information directly from Rob Nicoll, opened all our eyes as to just how incredible the sports complex will be once completed. Something that will benefit everyone in the wider community for generations to come. We unanimously decided this is a good option for us to pursue(while still keeping open other options).

Grants have been applied for.

Becky is working closely with visitor solutions to aid them however she can.

The Movie Night fundraiser successfully raised $1700 and The Hockey Team Catering (thanks to Lyn Dawbin) raised $1800.Thank you all for continuing to support us by purchasing Kindo Lunches, every lunch counts!
Next meeting is 21st August, all welcome.

19th June Meeting

Another well attended meeting. Progressing with the two potential pool sites as well as potentially keeping with the current pool site.

There was a meeting with the Bombay Sports Complex committee on the 4th July and we look forward to the update on this at the next meeting.

Andrew Baker from the Franklin Council will attend the next meeting and be available to answer all our questions,

The Trust is imminently being registered with the charities office.

We thank you for a very well attended movie night, Andrea will update us on monies raised soon.

Keep supporting the Kindo lunches! 🙂
