Special Needs and Abilities

Each year special teaching programmes are put in place to assist students who have special learning needs.  These needs cover a wide range and benefit pupils with learning difficulties, English as a second language pupils, and selected extension groups.  These programmes are funded by the Board of Trustees.  Mrs Brown is the teacher responsible for our Special Needs Programme (SENCO).

We belong to the Franklin 'Children with Special Abilities’ Network, and send children to each organised workshop.  Mrs Brown and Mrs Driller co-ordinate special abilities programmes.  We also use individual teacher strengths with small groups of students in our Gifted and Talented programme.
