Personal Cell Phones @ School
Just a friendly reminder that students must hand their cell phones into the office in the morning.
Ideally, we'd prefer that they did not bring them to school but we realise that there are some genuine safety concerns when children travel great distances to and from school.  We cannot accept responsibility for phones brought to school.
Sickness doing the rounds
We've had a spate of tummy bugs and respiratory infections doing the rounds.  To avoid spreading this across the school, please keep your child at home for 48 hours after a bout of vomiting or diarrhoea.

Celebrating Fantastic Writers
Year Eight Dinner - Caterers
Marimba Mania Workshop Yr 4-8 children
A notice has been sent home in regards to this workshop which will be held on 11 & 12 September. Please return permission forms and payment prior to these dates. Thank you to those people who have already returned their forms.
Is your Year 6 child leaving at the end of this year?
If you are contemplating enrolling your Year 6 child at another school for Year 7 in 2018, could you please complete this form?  Although we would be sad to see your child leave the school, we understand that parents will make this decision for a host of reasons and we are keen to understand them.  We would also like to get an accurate picture, as early as possible, of our student levels for 2018.  This will allow us to advertise free spaces and to staff the school correctly for the next year.  Please complete our survey by clicking on the following link :

Food Tech Snapshots
Another successful day spent here in Food Technology today. The students continued to experiment with flavours and textures to make some very tasty Mini Frittatas, Scones and Mini Pizzas in Food Technology. They really enjoy discovering new ideas with ingredients to create with when cooking and there is always lots of discussion regarding what worked or didn’t work well with the recipes they are adapting or altering. They are becoming more aware on presentation of their finished creations too and are beginning to understand about “eating with our eyes first”!

PHS Extra Enrolment Evening
We are holding an extra enrolment evening in the school library on Thursday 14 September from 3-7pm.

We have received reports of headlice at school. Please check your child's hair regularly. If found please treat and let your child's teacher know.
Big Containers
Does anyone have any containers slightly bigger than icecream containers that could be used on Calf Club day in the office area. Small bucket size e.g. pool chlorine container, would be ideal. If you can help, please drop off to the school office.

Calf Club Judges Training Day
This will be held on Saturday 9th September at the A & P Grounds, Pukekohe from 10am -12.00pm.

Any aspiring judges, children and their calves are welcome to attend.
It is worth going also particularly for any younger children/parents who are entering calves for the first time.  There will also be a leading course set up to practice with some valuable input from judges that will be there on leading, rearing and type.
Franklin Group Day
Date for 2017 for this event, is Wednesday 18 October. This is the first Wednesday of Term 4.

It is open to all children who have participated in our Calf Club  with their Calf, Goat or Lamb.  They do not need to have won any ribbons to enter.  Quite often children who do not do well on our day, do quite well at the Group Day event.

It is the parent's responsibility to get your child to the A & P Showgrounds in Pukekohe on the day - your child will be marked as 'Present' for the day at school.

Entries are $5 each.  Your children need to be registered by Saturday 30 September (our Calf Club Day) - please complete the entry form - follow link below to download entry form:
