Calf Club Raffle - We need ideas please.
Vita Mitchell has organised the calf club raffle for the last few years.  It's been a challenge to come up with ideas for prizes that would appeal to all.  In the past we've had travel vouchers, ipads, ipods and Mitre 10 vouchers.  Have you got any ideas for the first, second and third prizes? What would really appeal to most people?  Please follow the link to a form where you can share your ideas with Vita.

The Tech Report : Tech @ Maramarua
Tech Report
We had a good day today. Students finished off concept sketches and all students got on to cutting out their polystyrene prototypes to check that their design would work. Some made changes and adaptions after completing their prototypes to improve the car.

Some students are well advanced in the process and have been able to get on to cutting their final designs. Most students have been patient as they have needed some degree of support and there is only one of me and more of them! They have all been on task and worked really well. I normally let schools know who out of the class impressed me but it was too hard today to choose one or two - they were all great and a credit to your school.
Regards
Rodney Montford
------------------------------------------

Today the students had a recap of the last lesson and what is happening next in the Fabrics Technology Room.
After some practice time setting up their sewing machine and some test sample sewing time they continued to cut, pin and start the construction of their pocket, straps and lining for their Enviro Bag. Some had time to draw their logo / slogan on to their pocket and then pinned and sewed the pocket onto the main bag fabric too.
A great day with most of the students completing what they needed to today.
Have an awesome week 4!
Kind regards
Michelle Gallagher

Wood for Junior School
Does anyone have any off cuts of wood e.g. skirting board, that they would be happy to donate to the Junior school for wood work? Small pieces are most suitable.
